??AP Pro32 comments about Chargers??
NEW YORK (AP) Comments on the San Diego Chargers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
Chris Berman (ESPN, 14) - Did everything but win amid circus in New Orleans.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 11) - Facing statement game against Broncos for early supremacy in AFC West.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 14)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 14) - Had their chances in New Orleans, but couldn't finish. Game this week vs, Denver will tell us a great deal about who's the dominant team in the AFC West.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 13) - So much for that 2-0 start. Bolts now losers of two of their last three.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 10) - QB Philip Rivers has yet to throw for 300 yards in a game yet this season.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11) - Just when you want to believe in the Bolts, they go out and blow a 10-point lead to a winless opponent. I just don't know what to make of these guys ... again.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 18) - After being shredded by Drew Brees, San Diego's secondary braces for Peyton Manning.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 11) - There were some strange calls against the Chargers late in the Saints game which led to a defeat. Rivers will keep this team in the hunt all season.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 16) - Where has the fourth quarter mojo gone for Philip Rivers and the Chargers?
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 12) - Of Norv Turner's 33 losses as San Diego's head coach, allowing 17 unanswered points in the final 15:11 of a 31-24 defeat in New Orleans must rank among the most painful.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 13) - They lost in New Orleans but appear to have the running game going: that's something to build on moving forward.
